Developer's Note: The Tech Behind the Magic
Are you a game developer, tech lead, or just curious about game engines? This prototype isn't just a puzzle game; it's a mobile performance stress-test for Tensio, a custom Unity rope physics tool I am currently developing.
Solving complex rope collisions (Continuous Dynamic Tensioning) usually melts mobile CPUs. To achieve a stable 60 FPS on low-end devices, this project was engineered entirely around Data-Oriented Design:
Powered by DOTS: The physics solver runs on Unity's C# Job System and Burst Compiler, offloading the heavy spatial hashing and collision math to worker threads.
Zero Garbage Collection: The physics loop allocates exactly 0 Bytes of memory per frame. No GC spikes, no stuttering.
Fake 3D Shading (1 Draw Call per Rope): The game uses zero lighting calculations. The 3D volume, shadows, and overlap separation are achieved entirely through `UV.x` math in an Unlit Shader Graph.
